Reported Problem

An industrial customer experienced a critical failure in the motor control drive, resulting in the complete shutdown of a production line. The failure presented intermittent errors and loss of functionality, directly impacting the ability to maintain ongoing production. Such interruptions affect not only operational efficiency but also customer relationships due to delays in product delivery.

Test

A visual inspection of the drive was conducted to detect any obvious damages, and diagnostic equipment was used to analyze the specific errors recorded. The drive was then connected to a test bench to replicate the operational conditions and verify the reported anomalous behavior.

Work Performed

The drive was completely disassembled, all internal parts were cleaned, and proper lubrication was applied. Defective components such as capacitors, transistors, and fuses were identified and replaced. Loose electrical connections were repaired and reinforced to ensure system stability. Finally, the drive was calibrated and subjected to thorough testing to guarantee its correct functioning.
